As a Senior Front-end Developer at Virtual Power Systems, you will be providing leadership to the team responsible for the UI of VPS’s data center applications. You will be responsible for coordinating the design, development, and testing, as well as collaboration and interaction with other engineering and business teams. VPS is located in Santa Clara, CA and builds software that optimizes power consumption and creates power capacity in data centers.
Optimize web applications for performance, speed and browser-compatibility
Create early stage mockups, wireframes and layouts based on product requirements
Understanding of RESTful web services and leveraging APIs provide by internal and external teams to build features
Maintain a strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
Work closely with other Engineers and business teams to incorporate ideas and feedback in the product
Provide leadership to other front-end engineers to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality product
Bachelors in Computer Science or other related fields with proven Software development background
5+ years in building browser-based web applications with at least 3 years in building web applications for enterprises
Mastery of MVC frameworks with proven experience in such frameworks
Ability to break large problems into pieces and solving them methodically
Demonstrated ability to build products that accelerate product-market fit
Demonstrated ability to deliver products iteratively at a rapid pace
